The FABER Seismic Observatory
From: 06/03/2024 To: 30/03/2024 - Place: Roma - Instituto Nazionale di Vulcanologia
On May 3rd at 6:00 PM, Carlo Giunchi will present FABER, a unique seismic observatory located in one of the quietest places on Earth, as part of the series "From Archimedes to the Einstein Telescope", exploring the relationship between science and the region.
The event will take place at the EXMA Center for Art and Culture in Cagliari, where researcher Carlo Giunchi will explain why Sardinia, particularly the former mines of Sos Enattos, is the ideal location to silently monitor the Earth's deep dynamics.
FABER will serve as an important observatory for the activities of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and will provide crucial support to the Einstein Telescope candidacy.
